Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal aids in the reduction of your hair growth cycle.
During hair growth, there are four stages. When we apply selective photothermolysis to the anagen stage of that hair growth cycle, we are selectively destroying the hair follicle.
This is achieved by the laser being attracted to a target chromophore. This is what we call melanin of pheomelanin. For successful reduction to occur you will need to have a minimum of 6 to 8 treatments. The reason behind this is that the anagen stage for our active hair growth is always at different stages, therefore we are waiting for the dormant stage of hair growth to become active again. It is vital that we are interrupting the blood supply to that hair follicle and this is how we achieve selective photothermolysis.
